Everything You Need to Know
GutBuddy is optimized for medium-to-large breeds (20 lbs and up). The weighted base, opening size, and wobble resistance are all calibrated for dogs with more strength and appetite. Small dog version coming soon.
GutBuddy is designed primarily for dry kibble and hard treats. We don't recommend wet or raw food as it can block the opening and is harder to clean. Freeze-dried treats work great though.
GutBuddy is fully dishwasher safe (top rack recommended). You can also rinse it under warm water and use a bottle brush to reach inside. No special cleaning products needed.
Start on the easiest setting (wider opening) so your dog gets rewarded quickly and builds confidence. Within a few meals, you can gradually tighten the difficulty. Most dogs adapt within 2-3 feeding sessions.
GutBuddy is made from thick, food-grade rubber designed to withstand nudging and pawing. It's not intended as a chew toy. If your dog tries to chew it rather than roll it, redirect them and start on the easiest difficulty setting.
